Teddy keeps your calendar organized and your day running smoothly without the mental juggle
Running a multi-groomer schedule in your head or on a shared Google calendar is one of those things that works fine until it does not, and when it breaks it usually breaks on a busy day. Teddy's calendar was built specifically for grooming businesses, meaning it understands that a large full service takes two hours, that two groomers can have completely different availabilities, and that knowing how much revenue a day is generating matters as much as knowing what is on it.
You can view your schedule the way that makes sense for what you are doing. Day view shows every groomer's appointments side by side, so you can see at a glance who is slammed and who has room. Week view lets you spot gaps and plan around them before clients start calling. Month view gives you the big picture for promotions or planning around holidays. And list view is just a clean, scannable read of everything coming up.
Every appointment carries a status that tells you exactly where things stand. An orange border means the client has not confirmed yet, which is your signal to follow up before the day arrives. A completed appointment with a black border means the groom is done. You can change the status directly from the appointment panel without navigating anywhere, which sounds small until you realize how often you end up doing it.
The payment side is always in view too. A green dollar sign on an appointment means it has been paid. If it has not, you can pull up the invoice right from the calendar without going to a separate screen. For salons juggling multiple clients and groomers, that kind of in-place access keeps the day moving.
One of the quieter but genuinely useful features is the Book Again button. When a returning client's appointment is on screen, one click pre-fills a new appointment with all their same details: same pet, same services, same groomer if you want. For regulars who come every four to six weeks, that is a meaningful time saver that also reduces the chance of something getting booked incorrectly.
The calendar's built-in revenue report is visible all the time, not tucked away somewhere you have to go find. During the week of February 22 through 28, for example, one account showed three completed appointments and over $240 in earned revenue right on the calendar header. That kind of real-time visibility means you notice slow periods early enough to do something about them, whether that is reaching out to clients on the waitlist or running a quick promotion.
For salons with two or three groomers, the per-groomer column view eliminates the most common scheduling mistakes. You can see in seconds whether Alex has a slot free at 11 AM or whether Paul is already at capacity. That clarity reduces double-bookings and the awkward conversations that come with them.
No-shows are one of the most expensive problems in grooming. A groomer blocks time, prepares, and then the client does not show up. The unconfirmed status system, combined with automated confirmation reminders, catches those situations before they become lost
appointments. Getting even one fewer no-show per week at an average appointment value of $140 adds up to over $7,000 recovered in a year.
Can I manage multiple groomers on the same calendar?
Yes. Each groomer gets their own column in day view and their own lane in week view. You see everyone's schedule side by side and can book into any groomer's column directly from the calendar.
How does appointment status work?
Each appointment moves through statuses as the booking progresses: unconfirmed, confirmed, completed, cancelled, or no-show. You can update the status directly from the appointment panel. The color coding makes it easy to see where everything stands at a glance.
Does the calendar connect to the online booking portal?
Yes. When a client books online, their request comes into the Pipeline and, once approved, appears on the calendar automatically. There is no manual entry required.
Can I print the schedule for the day?
There is a print option in the left panel that lets you print out the day's or week's schedule. Useful for salons where not everyone is working from a screen.
What does the Book Again feature actually do?
It pre-populates a new appointment with all the same details from the selected appointment: client, pet, services, and groomer. You still pick the date and time, but everything else is already filled in. It takes about 30 seconds instead of five minutes.
