Staff roles and permissions, per-groomer calendars, commission settings and the Employees report.

Quick answer: Teddy helps grooming salons with employees in four ways. Add each person under Setup > Settings > Staff with a role and permissions. See each groomer's book in the staff calendar view. Set commission per staff member under Pay & Commission. And check the Employees report in Reports, or start payroll from Ask Teddy.
Going from solo to a team changes everything. Suddenly there are two or three books to juggle, people who need the schedule but not the bank numbers, and a payday that depends on who groomed what. The software that worked for one person starts to creak.
Here's how Teddy handles the parts of running a shop with employees, and how to set it up so the whole team stays on the same page.
Your team lives under Setup > Settings > Staff. Add each person and give them a role: Groomer, Bather, Owner, Admin or Other.
Then open the Permissions tab to decide what they can see. There are three toggles:
Owners and Admins get full access.

A few tips for setting permissions:
Teddy's calendar has day, week and staff views. The staff view puts each groomer's book side by side, so you can see who's slammed and who has an opening at 2.

You can run the calendar by clicking, or just ask:
Teddy checks the schedule before it confirms anything, so you don't double-book a groomer. Unlimited appointments are on every plan. More on the calendar and scheduling page.
Payday is where a lot of shops lose hours. Adding up who groomed what and working out commission splits by hand is slow, and mistakes cause real friction with your team.
In Teddy, commission is set per staff member under Pay & Commission. For each person you set:
Because it's tied to the appointments each person actually did, you're not rebuilding a spreadsheet every pay period.

Not sure how to structure commission in the first place? The free grooming commission calculator helps you compare splits before you decide.
Under Reports, the Employees report shows how each person on your team is doing. When it's time to pay people, Ask Teddy has a Run payroll shortcut to start from.
You can also ask Teddy about the numbers in plain words, like "How much did I make this week?" Teddy answers with what's been collected so far and how many appointments are still booked for the rest of the week.

Plans differ in how many groomers they include, and every plan is priced per location. If you run more than one shop, Plus adds multi-location support. Check the pricing page for the current details before you add your team.
A smooth setup makes the switch easier on everyone:
With a team, communication gets messy fast. Teddy keeps every text on the client's record, so when one groomer texts Max's owner, everyone else can see it. Two-way texting is unlimited on every plan, and you can ask Teddy to text a client straight from chat, with a preview to approve before it sends. See texting and reminders.
Teddy runs in the web browser on phones, tablets and computers, so your team can check their day from the front desk computer or their own phone without downloading anything.
